Panadea is proud to announce the establishment of the Panadea Global Health Education Grant, a new initiative dedicated to expanding access to advanced postgraduate trainings.
The grant reflects Panadea’s long-standing commitment to strengthening global health systems and supporting the next generation of scientists, clinicians, laboratory specialists, and public health professionals, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The Panadea Global Health Education Grant is designed to support participants from LMICs in attending two flagship training programs organized by the Interdisciplinary Academy of Competence & Education for Global Health (iACE Global Health) at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM):
These tropEd-accredited, internationally recognized programs provide critical expertise in infectious disease diagnostics, epidemiology, outbreak response, laboratory systems, and public health practice, with a particular focus on resource-limited settings.
Robust laboratory infrastructure and highly trained professionals are fundamental to resilient healthcare systems and effective outbreak preparedness and response. Through this grant, Panadea aims to help reduce barriers to access for talented professionals who can drive meaningful impact in their home countries and regions.
The collaboration between Panadea, BNITM and its iACE Global Health, is rooted in a strongly aligned vision of improving global health through science, education, and international cooperation.
BNITM is internationally recognized for its work in tropical and emerging infectious diseases, combining research, clinical expertise, and public health approaches to improve disease control worldwide. Its activities closely reflect the principles of One Health, recognizing the interconnected relationship between human health, pathogens, and the environment.
iACE Global Health contributes to strengthening global health competency through innovative digital, blended, and in-person learning and capacity exchange initiatives. iACE Global Health collaborates with international partners, subject matter experts, and internal teams at BNITM to deliver impactful, evidence-driven, and sustainable learning experiences.
Panadea shares this commitment through the development of high-quality ELISA solutions that support multi-species disease detection, surveillance, and evidence-based decision-making. Together, Panadea and BNITM are united by a common goal: strengthening global capacity to detect, understand, and control infectious diseases, where these efforts are needed most.
To ensure transparency, fairness, and academic independence
This structure ensures that the grant supports highly qualified candidates while maintaining the integrity and independence of BNITM’s educational programs.
Recipients of the Panadea Global Health Education Grant will receive financial support to attend the courses and an official certificate recognizing their honour upon program completion.
In an increasingly interconnected world, infectious diseases continue to cross borders and disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. Investment in education, laboratory capacity, and professional training remains one of the most effective long-term strategies for strengthening global health preparedness.
Through the Panadea Global Health Education Grant, Panadea reinforces its role not only as a provider of serology solutions, but also as an active contributor to global health equity, scientific collaboration, and knowledge transfer.
By supporting future leaders in global health today, Panadea is helping build a healthier and more resilient tomorrow.
